Royal Rotra chooses continuity with the sale of road transport and logistics | Continuation of Rotra Air & Ocean and CTD

Doesburg - Koninklijke Rotra in Doesburg has announced its intention to focus fully on developing its activities in sea and air freight forwarding and inland shipping. Pursuant to an agreement signed on 14 November 2019, Koninklijke Rotra’s road transport and logistics business units will be taken over by Kuehne + Nagel, one of the top 3 companies in the logistics sector. The transaction will be effected after approval by the competition authorities. The Board has made this decision to ensure the continuity of the road transport and logistics divisions.

Continuity in road transportAfter 110 years of trading, why has Rotra decided to transfer the logistics and road transport activities to Kuehne + Nagel? Rotra's director, Machiel Roelofsen, explains: ‘Market developments that require a decisive response have been apparent for some time now.
