Container Terminal Doesburg
With its own inland terminal –Container Terminal Doesburg – situated near its main location in Doesburg, Rotra offers shippers the opportunity to transport containers in an inexpensive and more efficient way. With the increase in inland navigation transshipment, now and in the future, Rotra’s modal shift functions as a prominent logistics hub in the region. Moreover, the unloading quay forms an environmentally friendly alternative for the increasingly stagnating road container transport. Containers that are now transported from the Rotterdam and Antwerp ports per truck can be transported by barge from now on. With an expected number of 10.000 TEU, Rotra will realize a reduction of nearly 200 truck movements per week.
The terminal is currently under construction. It is expected that the terminal will be operational in the course of 2016.
